Satyajit Ray wrote over forty fiction and non-fiction books in Bengali. Many of Ray’s screenplays too have been published in Bengali. Only a handful of them are available in English. The Bengali books are difficult to get; the only way to get these books is to request a friend in Calcutta to look in new and used bookshops.
